I have worked for the prison service for 21,1/2yrs.When I was a trades officer i received a trdes allowance of £1200,16,1/2 yrs later they forced me off the trades officer side and put me on discipline duties.I was told i would keep this because it was not my choice to move.Now after 5yrs on discipline duties i receive a letter that they now want to take this allowance off me,or put me on marked time,I have been used to this payment and mortgaged to this effect. Can anyone enlighten me.
