Hi,


I am due to take my maternity leave on 18th May 2008.  I get 25 days holiday per year.  I have been told that I can take 19days (9months entitlemen) holiday before my maternity starts, so I am leaving on the 18th April.  I asked if I could take my 25 days holiday before my maternity starts as I wanted to take my full 52 week maternity entitlement OML and AML but I have been told if I took the additional 13 weeks after the paid 39 I would lose the extra holidays so I am only entitled to 19.  If I go back after 39 weeks then I can take the extra 6 holiday days then.


Can anyone help because Im confused, I dont understand why I should lose 6 days when I am actually entitled to 52weeks maternity.
