The company I work for was taken over 8 months ago by TUPE. I am the only employer who did not sign a new contract. I am happy with my existing one. My employers keep asking me to sign a new one but I have refused. I am on a reception and expected to sell goods for the company (selling is not in my contract) and they have what they call a party pot. This is an incentive for employees and money from the goods sold goes into this pot and also if we receive compliment letters money goes in the pot and various other things go in the party pot. This is then split between the staff at various stages throughout the year. I have been given two shares of the party pot since the company took ove but I have now been told because i am not under their contract I am not entitled to any further shares. Is this correct and if it is am I obliged to sell things when I am not benefiting? I have chose not to sign the contract but feel I should not be treated different from my collegues.
