Hi

We are a housing association that has a number of volunteer board members who the majority are over the age of 65. Could anyone tell me what the law is with regards to volunteers and retirement? Is it that they would be treated the same as paid employees? Thanks

In short - volunteers are not treated in the same way as your employees. The position relating to volunteer board members and retirement should depend on the constitution behind your housing association. If you want to email me further please feel free to do so.
