Terms & Conditions Changed post TUPE J 09/04/2008 12:28

I have recently transferred to a new employer under TUPE and would like to know what I can do, if anything, about conditions changing to mine and my colleagues detriment.

Under our previous employer we were supplied with company vans and fuel cards, to which our new employer said we would receive an enhanced hourly rate of pay coupled with a set mileage rate to compensate for using our own vehicles to work. We don't have a set place of work, instead covering a large area of the NW.

However, since transferring it has become clear that we are not to be paid a mileage allowance as we are expected to "commute" within the above set area, although mileage can be claimed if travelling outside the set boundaries.

We were told we would have a set place to use as our normal place of work, within 5 miles of our homes, but are now being asked to travel anything up to 50 miles a day before we can claim anything.

Any advice on this would be very much appreciated.
