Different rules for different people! Nea 17/04/2008 09:59

Background: I've been @ a company 3 years where staff at all levels are given the same (low!) leave entitlement before stats ie: 20 days to begin, 22 after 2 years, 25 after 7 years.

Recently some new employees started and a few of them have been given 25 days.  I update annual leave forms and asked if this was a mistake but was told no. This hasn't happened before to my knowledge.

I can understand someone joining who  previously had 25 days entitlement wouldn't want to start lower but only a few of the new starts were given this, the rest got the standard 20 days. BTW, the ones with 25 are not in managerial or HOF roles.

There is no consistency and I resent the fact that some are walking into an entitlement that others have to work 7 years for.

What are your thoughts on this matter please?
