Course Fees I Snowden 21/04/2008 19:04

I recently volunteered and was accepted for redundancy. I was paid in lieu untill February and released in early December. I was studying for a Degree in which the company paid for. Prior to leaving I was told that my course fee's had been paid in full. I had been on the course for 3 months before redundancy. It was also mentioned that the fees would be paid as a good will gesture.

I have in the last few days recieved a bill from the university saying that I owe the course fee's. I rang my previous employer and my boss at the time was apologetic. He said he would sort it for me. I have since recieved an e-mail saying that it is unlikely that the company were going to settle account. How do I stand on this? Surely if the company had sent me on the course they are responsible for the fee and even if not how do I approach it in terms of the goodwill gesture (This wasn't documented).

Help!!!
