Hi All, I signed a compromise agreement with my last employer, i have started a new role but due to poor health due to depression i may have to leave. If this is the case can i go back to my last employer and ask them for compensation. The orginal compromise agreement was drawn up because i wanted to leave, they offered me 3 months which they said is the same as a redundancy. I now find myself with possibly no job due to the poor health i am in due to my last employer. Any help would be appreciated? kind regards

Hi Ian, You don't say whether or not you took advice from an independent legal adviser before signing the agreement. That could have a bearing on its validity. To be honest, the best advice anyone can give you is to take a copy of the agreement you signed to a solicitor and get 'proper' advice. Without sight of the document you signed any advice you receive is purely speculative. Hope this helps,
