I`m very interested in hearing about experiences with online 360 Performance Review software.


Has anyone used these? ..any tips or advice ?


I know paper reviews are very time consuming, but do online reviews give the same kind of results.


I am based in the s/west UK and have found these people www.360-review.co.uk - they offer a total price rather than a price per review which sounds interesting.

360 are doing some outstanding work at present and are producing impressive work.

I contacted the people at 360-review.co.uk , their sample report is very impressive.
They offer just the online software if you already have behavious & questions ready, or a full consultation with their Management Training side of the business, best of all it`s a one off fee for the software instead of per review (which can become very costly indeed)
I have arranged a meeting with them, will let you know how it goes...

Hi Ray


Lots of adverts but no real answers...


360's have their time and place. Sure a software platform can look impressive and comprehensive - but any 360 is only as good as the environment in which it is used. This means training managers and staff to use it effectively. Also 360s can be very time consuming in the long run too.


You should also look at the questions and competencies on offer - do these complement your organisation and culture or go against it? - No two organisations are the same and what fits one will not fit another.


360's in my opinion are great development tools and OK for apraisal tools at very senior levels - but at other levels I would think long and hard about their use. They are time consuming - filling them in for x number of people and if the feedback and management of the process is time poor then the result will be a waste of effort.


Fit for purpose is the important phrase here.


What do you want your performance review process to do.. to achieve... how will you measure success? Make sure you have the answers to these BEFORE engaging with a supplier and make sure this is what you are buying - not the software.
