Does anyone know of any HR Manager or Officer who works in an open plan office?

If you do, can you advise on how you manage with confidential items.

I'm an HR Manager and work in an open plan office.  Not the best environment I must admit however I ensure that when discussing confidential matters either on the phone or one to one then I take myself off to a private office.  I never leave paperwork upturned or my computer switched on if I have to leave my desk.  And I dream of one day having my own office!

My office is open plan. Our screens are facing away from general traffic and all documents are password protected. We always lock our PC's when away from them and I am in the habit of having lots of screens open when dealing with confidential things to distract the eye and draw it away from anything confidential. Paperwork is always locked away and keys are locked in a fire proof safe.
