Hi all, I have recently handed my notice in at work and had pre arranged a weeks holiday before I found out I was going to hand my notice in. As holiday is calculated on a pro rata basis this only left me with 0.5 holiday days, which meant I have to take the pre-arranged holiday as unpaid leave which I am happy to do. However I have been informed that as a result of this my notice period will be extended to cover the unpaid leave which means that my notice period has been extended to 5.5.weeks. There is nothing in my contract that states that the notice period can be extended, and nothing in my contract stating that holidays cannot be taken during notice period. Does anyone know my legal rights with this? Or where I could go for further help? Thanks in advance. |
