While change management has wide fields that can be attacked generically, no matter what type of change initiative it is, there are also some bespoke issues to each type of change. Outsourcing in general certainly is a category in its own right and one might think, HRO has some special challenges as well. A recent paper in iProCon HCM Insight (www.iproconhcm.co.uk/NL) looked at this topic: http://iproconhcm.info/data/knowledge_source/white_papers/Change_Management-Challenges_in_HRO.pdf. But I would like to start a discussion what a) you think about the approaches described in that paper (certainly not exaustive but probably a good basis to start a discussion) and b) your further experience and stories about change management in an HRO context. Personally, I think that such low impact (e.g. effect the cost savings have on overall company profits) BPO project which at the same time effect a majority of teh workforce in ther day to day work have a very specific timeline in respect to when people's perceptions change and how engaged stakeholders are over the course of the project. Let's share some ideas!
