I am confused about what do in the following circumstances.

We are transferring production to an existing site where there are already production staff.  However, the area of the business they work in will no longer be manufacturing products.  Some of these workers are interested in applying for some of the new roles and they can easily be transferred over as their terms and conditions will remain the same (the 2 businesses are part of the same company).  But what is the situation with salary?  Eg if a worker earns £22k in one job eg fork lift truck and the new job is filler/packer paying £15k - do they transfer over on their old salary?

Please advise

Thanks
