Does anyone have experience of a policy or practice where individuals are moved out of their substantive roles when their post has been identified as redundant and engaged in alternative project work for the organisation for an extended period (e.g. 3-6months) prior to serving them with notice of redundancy. The aim being to allow a greater period of time to identify redeployment opportunities, enhance skills, provide training and outplacement etc. I have been asked to research this particular question and wondered if anyone had any comments or advice.
