I would really love some advice on this matter as it concerns me personally!

I returned to work last week after having 4-months off sick with a broken ankle. I perform the role of a regional trainer for a communications company. While being off sick the team had a bit of a restructure so now my area covers a large area of central London (previously I never touched any area of London). Because I am still not 100% fit I have said to my employers that I am not comfortable in taking on this new area because of all the walking that I will have to do to perform my role. They have said, that is your area now and you have to do it. Are they able to make such a dramatic change in my area without any consultation  especially when they were aware that it could take several months for me to be fully fit?

Your responses will be very gratefully received!

Jane
