| Interview rejection letter - note to file | Confused. | 25/07/2008 11:08 | |

Hi! I had an internal interview late last year. When I say interview I am being generous. The conversation was more based on my private life than my ability to perform the role. Naturally I didn't get the role (which was OK, I enjoyed the role I was doing immensely). After Christmas I got a rejection letter that surprised me in that it mentioned reasons for rejection that I felt were not from the process and bore little relevance. Forgot about it and went back to my job and have been doing well for the last six months. This letter has now been refered to as a 'note to file' and used against me. Is this allowed? As far as I was concerned it was purely a rejection letter nothing more. Is this common? Any help would be greatly received. Thanks. |
