Change of contractual hours Burnise 05/08/2008 21:32

I have been advised today that my contractual hours have been amended so that I am expected to work one Monday every month 12.30pm - 8pm. This was a voluntary option prior to this which I never took part in due to home/family commitments.

I had agreed my working hours of 9.30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday prior to commencing my employment.(my employer classes this as part time (as stated in my contract)as this is 94% of normal full hours, I work 35 hours whereas other full time employees work 37.5 hours).

I know it may seem unreasonable but I had agreed these hours to coincide with childcare, I do not want to work until 8pm on any occasions. Do I have to agree to this change?
