BT offers staff 3.8 per cent pay rise

BT
has offered thousands of its workers a 3.8 per cent pay rise.

The
Communication Workers Union has recommended that its members accept the deal,
which will benefit around 80,000 workers, ranging from operators to engineers.

A
ballot of workers will start next week and the result will be announced
mid-April.

A
BT spokesman said: “We believe it is an offer which acknowledges the
contribution of our employees.”
