BUDGET: Concessions for motorists

A
number of fuel concessions were announced for motorists by the Chancellor in
his budget address.

Duty
on ultra-low fuel is cut by 2p a litre and the cut will also apply to all
unleaded petrol until June 14.

Duty
on ultra-low sulphur petrol diesel is reduced by 3p a litre to take immediate
effect and road fuel gas tax is cut by 6 per per kg.

There
is also a reduced rate for vehicle excise duty to be extended to existing cars
up to 1500cc and VED is abolished for tractors.
