Business secretary Vince Cable to outline reduction in business regulation

Employers will hear how the coalition government plans to reduce business regulation later today when the business secretary makes his first major speech.

Vince Cable is expected to provide more details of the government’s plans to help UK businesses grow, outline tough proposals to get banks to increase their lending to small and medium-sized companies, and also give more details of the government’s aim to reduce business regulation.

According to the BBC, the coalition government has said it will review all new rules planned by the former government.

“We must move away from the view that the only way to solve problems is to regulate,” Cable said on Wednesday.
