Decision delayed on worker suspended for extreme hair

A Stansted Airport check-in worker suspended for having too much gel in his hair will have to wait a week to find out if he has been sacked or not.

John Graham, 20, was suspended by employers Swissport, sparking a protest by colleagues who turned up to work with their hair in Mohican styles.

A disciplinary hearing could now last for up to a week to decide whether the offending haircut breached the dress code in Graham’s contract.

His union, the GMB, said: “His contract states staff must not sport excessive gel in the hair. But he’s just a young lad following fashions – it’s madness.”
