Execs set for pay cuts at DaimlerChrysler

Car
manufacturer DaimlerChrysler may cut executive pay in a bid to end a dispute
over cost cuts.

Online reports that workers at the company’s German plants have downed tools
after plans to move jobs abroad were announced unless 500m euros (£330m) in savings
can be found.

DaimlerChrysler
now says that its board members will accept a cut in pay if employees back
down.
