Five Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service employees disciplined over the sending of pornographic images are to appeal.
Of 13 staff disciplined in October, following a four-month appeal three were demoted, six received final warnings and three received warnings.
Two firefighters, Mark Sapple and Christopher Moss, were sacked for “sharing unauthorised material”, according to the BBC.
The Fire Brigades Union (FBU) has confirmed that five of the 13, including Sapple and Moss, are to appeal.
Deputy county fire officer Kieran Nolan, speaking at the time of the original disciplinary action, said the behaviour of those involved was “extremely disappointing”.
