Jubilee line tube drivers threaten strike action on Christmas Eve

One of London’s busiest tube lines could be closed on Christmas Eve as drivers threaten to strike over the actions of one of their managers.

According to the Evening Standard, leaders of the train drivers’ union Aslef say the stoppages will take place on the Fridays of 3 December and 24 December on the Jubilee line, which is used by more than 450,000 passengers a day.

Drivers from the Greenwich depot claim a London Underground manager is “refusing to abide by local agreements”, and the union wants the manager moved. London Underground has refused.
