Make Christmas parties more intimate, say workers

Employees are unimpressed with lavish large-scale Christmas parties, an Investors in People poll has found.

According to the survey, employees find grand scale parties impersonal and would much rather attend a more personal departmental or team, lunch or dinner.

Additional complaints caused by large parties, were that people spent more time talking with people they felt they “ought” to be with or ended up discussing work related issues, rather than enjoying the evening the way they would like.
