MBA International Business Administration, Bournemouth University

How long?
The MBA is taught as a one-year, full-time postgraduate degree programme, although students can take up to 15 months to complete the programme.

Entry qualifications
Applicants will need a first degree equivalent to a UK honours degree qualification. The programme does not assume any prior business studies knowledge, so is accessible regardless of the subject of the first degree.

The programme is delivered in stages. Stage one covers general management and the main international contexts (managing people and organisations, understanding global markets, accounting and finance, research methods, effective learning programmes). In stage two, students study specialist units relating to international business (managing in international business markets, organisational effectiveness, global markets, strategy and implementation). Students also take an option unit from a range including e-business management, international social responsibility, and communication for international management. To complete the qualification, students also develop an individual research project.

Career opportunities
This course helps students develop a good understanding of management of multinational organisations and those completing the course are well placed for work in multinational companies, particularly in areas such as consultancy.
