Personnel Today was crowned HR Publication of the Year at last night’s Watson Wyatt Awards for Excellence in HR Journalism.
The awards, now in their fourth year, attracted more than 130 entries from 75 journalists working across the national, regional and HR trade press.
Personnel Today came out on top in the hotly contested publication category, beating a raft of competitors.
The judging panel was made up of top HR directors including Jill Shedden at British Gas, Mark Wells at Experian, Jane van Ammel at De La Rue, Suzy Black at Lloyds of London, Sarah Ridout at Roche, and Mark Martin at T-Mobile.
Personnel Today’s news editor, Louisa Peacock was also highly commended in the HR Journalist of the Year (professional media) category.
Clare Muhiudeen, European head of the human capital group at Watson Wyatt, said: “In times such as these, HR management issues are high up the corporate agenda. With these awards we recognise those journalists who have highlighted issues central to HR management.
“Watson Wyatt is committed to raise the profile of these issues in the media, and has awarded excellence on the basis of innovative, engaging and thought-provoking articles.”
