Peugeot
workers are set to strike again at the car-marker’s Ryton plant near Coventry.
Members
of the Transport and General Workers’ Union staged a one-day strike over pay
and conditions in February, and are now set to walk out for a day tomorrow.
A
meeting between management and the union was scheduled for today, however
Peugeot management have postponed it.
Dave
Osborne, T&G national secretary said: "I am absolutely dismayed by
Peugeot’s actions. The company had a real opportunity today to make headway in
this dispute and they wasted it."
