P&O
Ferries has installed interactive kiosks at its destination points to allows
staff access to the internet.
The
company’s field employees were missing out on intranet access because by the
nature of their roles of they were constantly on the move, so P&O installed
the terminals at several ferry ports.
Netshift
and Fujitsu designed the kiosks which allow staff to access the corporate
intranet and relevant websites as well as enabling them to interact with HQ and
perform online transactions.
P&O
was concerned that staff working on the English channel were missing out on
some HR benefits, such as booking discounted tickets, because they didn’t have
internet access.
