The allure of working at Wembley remains strong for jobseekers, despite major fears that the national stadium might not be completed by its 31 March deadline.
Wembley Stadium has been flooded with applications for event-day work since the launch of a new recruitment campaign last month. More than 13,000 people have registered for work via its website.
Peter Swordy, head of HR for Wembley, said the stadium needed about 5,000 staff for each major event. “We are delighted with the high level of interest shown so far and would like to encourage even more people to apply,” he said.
