Eye Care Trust

Website of the Eye Care Trust, a charity that aims to raise awareness of all
aspects of ocular health and the importance of regular eye care. A very
detailed site, useful for the occupational health adviser looking for general
information. Includes FAQs, details of the latest developments in eye care and
lists of common eye disorders, their symptoms, causes and treatments.

Applied Vision Association

Organisation affiliated to the College of Optometrists, which promotes and
advances the application of research work in all areas related to vision.
Includes extensive links to other related sites worldwide.

Association of Contact Lens Manufacturers

Includes news and information about contact lenses, including a very useful
page of FAQs about contact lenses, and links to related sites.

UK charity which funds research into blindness. Site includes background information

Royal National Institute for the Blind

Extensive and very informative site which offers practical support and
advice for anyone with a sight problem. Includes details of campaigns, eye
conditions, fact sheets, research papers and projects, a web pals board and
news and up-to-date information.
