Royal Mail urges Londoners not to post today

The
Royal Mail is urging people not to post letters in London today because of a
strike by postal workers.

Members
of the Communication Workers Union are staging a 24-hour walkout over London
weighting allowance.

Royal
Mail offered to increase an Inner London weighting by £300 to £3,784 and Outer
London allowance by £300 to £2,667.

The
union is demanding a £4,000 a year allowance.
