Saatchi helps attract recruits to Lloyds TSB

Lloyds
TSB’s HR business director has called in the bank’s advertising agency Saatchi
& Saatchi to develop its employer branding project.

The
agency developed the slogan “Your Life, Your Career”, which mirrors the bank’s
national advertising campaign, “Your Life, Your Bank”.

Paul
Turner, group HR business director at Lloyds TSB, told Personnel Today, “It is
an unusual step to take, but the agency did a superb creative job for us.”

Turner
used his presentation on recruiting in the war for talent to urge HR professionals
to develop a tactical recruitment strategy that gives accurate forecasts of
future staffing needs.

One
way of doing this is to build up strategic partnerships with fewer external
suppliers and use these relationships for e-recruitment.

Since
the two banks merged five years ago, Lloyds TSB has cut the number of external
suppliers of agency, temporary and other staff from 42 to two.
