Sacked fireman accused of ‘coaching’ son through exam to lodge tribunal claim

A fire station manager sacked for coaching his son through an entrance exam will lodge an employment tribunal later this year, it has emerged.

Joe Little, 43, was sacked from Workington station, Cumbria, in March after he was accused of helping direct his son towards a website with exam questions on.

He lost an appeal against the decision to sack him but the local Fire Brigades Union said he would fight at tribunal in September or October, according to the Times and Star.

A Facebook campaign launched to reinstate him now has more than 2,000 members.
