Tender for the Provision of Occupational Health Services

East London NHS Foundation Trust is a Mental Health Trust which provides services to the City of London, the London Boroughs of Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Newham. The Trust also provides Forensic Services to the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest, and provides some specialist Mental Health services to North London, Hertfordshire and Essex. The Trust wishes to further enhance the health and well-being of its employees through the provision of a range of Occupational Health initiatives aimed at supporting its staff and services in the performance of its core functions. The Trust is committed to pursuing Mental Health Employer status and working proactively with staff to get the best from them.

Organisations wishing to tender shall need to demonstrate:
An occupational health service which is appropriately staffed and operated, that will work in partnership with the Trust in providing accessible expertise to ensure a safe, health environment that safeguards patients, promotes high quality patient care and benefits the whole workforce. A successful track record of working with similar calibre organisations and able to quantify the benefits delivered. This is not an exhaustive list and other criteria is stated in the Invitation to Tender (ITT) document.

Shortlisted applicants will be assessed on presentation, interview and the visit of their site premises, as well as other criteria stated in the ITT document.

Time Frame
The Trust aims to have a provider in place by November 2009.

Bidders will receive an Invitation to Tender document by 20 July 2009. Only short listed bidders will be invited to give a presentation and this will take place on week commencing 31 August 2009.
