The NHS is the place to be

Christine Hunter, head of Occupational Health Services, Westminster Primary
Care Trust, gave a warm and witty talk, An NHS experience, on working in
occupational health within the NHS.

Describing the "masses of change" that have gone on within the NHS
over the last 20 years, she explained how occupational health services within
the organisation was built up using a "hands-on and here to help"
attitude.

Her department now handles approximately 96 contracts, which she says covers
the cradle (family planning association) to the grave (a funeral director).

She told delegates that the future is now bright for those working within
the NHS and "the availability of experience is enormous".
