The Wales
TUC and WAG have also jointly agreed five priorities
–
Economic
Development in Wales
–
Improved
levels of education and training

of public services
–
Promotion
of equal opportunities
–
Social
Partnership
David
Jenkins, General Secretary of the Wales TUC said: "This landmark agreement
is significant because it cements the relationship between the trade union
movement in Wales and the Welsh Assembly Government.
"Public
attention has recently been focussing on the differences between trade unions
and the Westminster Government. This agreement sets us on a different path in
Wales, one based on mutual respect, understanding and a determination to create
a healthier, wealthier and smarter country."
