Union claims government will miss equal pay deadlines

Government
departments are not closing pay gaps between men and women, a union claims.

The
main civil service union, the PCS, claims that only 19 out of 93 departments
have established proposals to close the pay gap.

Government
departments were given a year to develop equal pay action plans, but the union
claims most will miss the end of April 2003 deadline.
