Viewing the desktop while surfing the net

None of us have time to read up on all the features and functions a PC
offers and there are many time-saving devices that potentially stay
undiscovered for years, like this one. It offers a quick and convenient way to
view your desktop and open files from it while you are surfing in Internet
Explorer. It is especially handy if you’re viewing the net on a small monitor,
such as a laptop screen, and wish to quickly refer to a document on your
desktop.

1. Click the Windows Start icon

2. Click Run from the list of features and a box will appear

3. Key in ‘.’ in the text box provided and click OK. This will bring up your
desktop within a window in front of your Internet Explorer browser window. You
can then speedily open your files and folders from there.
