Career Advice Anyone? Please help :)

Hello all

I have been working in my current job for nearly 9 years however I want a career change! I am looking into working within a HR type role and about to enrol on a CIPD Level 3 in HRP but I just want a bit of advice if thats ok :)

I currently work as a flight attendant for Thomson Airways and have been doing so for 9 years.  In addition to this, I am also an Airline Ground Safety Trainer - I train cabin crew and pilots in terms of airline safety whilst working on our aircrafts.  I have been in this role for just over 2 years and do this alongside my role as cabin crew.

In terms of my education, I have 10 A-C GCSE results, 2 A-Levels (ICT and Business - grade B's) and I am also continuing my degree with The Open University in Business Leadership and Management where I have completed only two modules.  However, I am about to put this on hold as I am about to enrol on a CIPD Foundation Course in Human Resources Practice. 

My questions here are:

• Is it worth me doing an intermediate qualification? I have spoken with a few tutors as some local colleges here and some of these give me mixed answers -some say stick with the foundation to give you the foundation in HR Practices to introduce you into the world of HR.   Some others say that my level of education is moderate therefore an intermediate will be ok - but I may struggle with some modules because I am not in a HR type role
• Will a CIPD help me again a HR type job? HR Advisor etc.. I have been looking on some websites that are currently recruiting for HR Advisors but you need experience within a HR job.  What type of job would be better for me to do whilst learning the CIPD at my local college

Any advice will be appreciated here
