CIPD Experience Assessment route to Chartered Membership

Just wondering if anybody has completed this method of CIPD Chartered Membership and could share their experience with me?  I'm just starting my 8 week assessment!

I am looking into doing the CIPD Experience Assessment route to Membership and I have made an appointment for the initial phone call to see if I am eligible.

Can anyone give me any ideas what sort of things they will ask me!? I know they are going to go over my CV - but I was wondering what type of things they will be asking / or looking for. 

Also what people think are the benefits of this route rather than studying at college?

Hi Sarah how did you get on?  Am just awaiting my Professional Discussion which is in the next 2 weeks - any pointers you an offer?

Well it all went reasonably well actually.  The Professional Discussion wasn't as bad I had expected. Not a grilling at all, but just quite helpfully filling in the gaps that weren't covered in all the assignments etc.   Hope yours goes ok.   When I know if I've passed or not I'll let you know!
