Hi,

I need advise on what to do.

I joined this healthcare company in January 2012 and left in April 2012. the induction was for 6 weeks.

I was made to sign a form for each training during the induction to say I will pay for it if I leave the company before 1 year. the form had no amount on it as the cost section on the form was blank.

£320 has been deducted from my wages.

I am of the opinion that it is the responsibility of an employer to be responsible for the training (especially mandatory ones) of their employees to be able to carry out the functions required of them by the work description / role.

I have a baby and need all the money I can get which was the reason I took a better paying job and left my previous job.

I want to know if an employer can lawfully make their employee pay for mandatory training for the job being employed to do.
