The more active you are as member of HR Space, the more points you'll receive. Depending on the number of points you have, you will be assigned a rank. These will be created in due course.

The way points are currently assigned is a bit complex but here we go:

  • 5 points for a post
  • 15 points when that post receives each reply
  • 50 points for each unique replier to the post
  • 6 points when someone rates your post
  • 20 points when someone makes your post a favourite
  • 100 points when someone make you their friend.

There are a few other ways of getting points but these are the main ones.

Thanks Rob - I guess this is a developing environment so is it a case of 'watch this HRSpace...' ?

Rob - having looked around, some posts have 70pts earned - how does this happen? D different populations of users earn different types of points?

It seems that you are also rewarding posers of questions more than those that are prepared to answer.. If you want contributions then the responder must be rewarded appropriately, I am not convinced your current points allocation will be sustainable.

and do points make prizes? Dinner with George Clooney perhaps?

I think I would rather post and reply as I feel the need, rather than start posting like a lunatic to get points - even if it is dinner with George!

I totally agree - the site is for networking and advice, not a competition to see who can get the most points...
