An analysis of data from XpertHR has found that the proportion of women in HR peaked in 2007 and has since been in a gradual decline. What I want to know is if any of the HR Space members have seen this trend in their own organisations?

Also, if there are more men coming to the profession/ or women leaving it what do you think the reasons are behind this? One suggestion has been that women have lost out disproportionately from the recession.

The full findings are available here on the Employment Intelligence blog. Please do let us know your views either here or on the blog itself.

It is a survey and therefore subject to variation every year. I would read nothing into it.
