I'm sorry to hear about your situation. You should have a contract of employment or employee guide is there anything in there about payment dates? It's a shoddy way to treat you but to avoid further stress it may be worth considering looking for something else. Appeal to your employer's better nature and write to them explaining your situation. Something like this 'Late payment of our salary is causing financial pressures and additional stress and therefore we respectfully request that our salary payments are made on time'. Ultimately you should be receiving money for work done, you've either got a bad employer or they are experiencing difficulties in this economic climate. Opening channels of communication is always a good start. Speak with your line manager and calmly explain your situation.
