Our Client is leading public services organisation based in central London.
They currently have an immediate need for an assistant HR Manager for a 12 month period covering maternity leave.
What will I be doing?
The main purpose of the Assistant HR Manager role is to work with the HR Manager and HR Support to provide an exceptional HR service to internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
To work with the HR Manager and management to ensure HR strategy, policies and processes reflect regional/directorate needs, are understood and implemented consistently.
To manage both formal and informal employee relations cases and change programmes.
To share knowledge within the HR Business Partner team and across wider HR teams
To provide high quality professional advice and support to line managers on the full range of people issues, managing the risk and refer to other HR teams as appropriate
To champion local HR best practice and ensure consistent implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures
To identify local people issues and the people implications of local initiatives and work with the HR Manager to ensure these are addressed
To effectively line manage and provide support and development to the Regional HR Support
To develop and deliver local training workshops and assist with corporate training initiatives as necessary
To assist with recruitment activities as required, e.g. interviewing and assessing at assessment centres

Ability to problem-solve and make decisions where appropriate;
Experience of using MS Office suites and HR database to a proficient level;
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to draw out key messages from data and
Desirable
CIPD qualified or able to demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge through relevant experience.
