My client is looking to recruit a Benefits & HR Policies Manager - International, on a 6-month fixed term contract.
You will be responsible for overseeing the strategic design and development, benchmarking, vendor management and approval for non-US subsidiary local benefit programs, managing the plan design development, administration and vendor management of international benefit plans as well as providing coordination and approvals for appropriate benefit coverages for all foreign service employees assigned to the US and overseas subsidiaries. In addition you will take responsibility for the development, management and interpretation of international human resources policies for non-US countries.
*Ensure that individual international country benefit plans are competitive in the marketplace, are financially/legally sound, further the company's strategic directions and objectives, and are consistent with corporate guidelines.
*Maintain awareness of new and changing domestic and international legislative initiatives and trends, as they may affect the domestic, international and local benefit plans.
*Manage benefit analysis and changes resulting from mergers or acquisitions or divestitures, providing due diligence assistance and transition planning.
*Advises international HR on appropriate survey participation and data analysis to guide prospective benefits planning.
*Oversees all international benefit plans, including recommending plan design and coverage changes, managing vendors, coordinating employee communications, interpreting and updating Summary Plan Descriptions and responding to employee claims against the plans.
*Reviews, recommends and implements appropriate benefit coverage for expatriate, foreign national employees.
*Ensures integrated benefit systems and benefit vendor interfaces to track coverage for employees and their dependents.
*Oversees the development of international HR policies per country.
*Provides guidance on HR policy interpretation to all levels of employees and management.
*Ensures policy compliance with legislative changes that impact HR policy.
Your profile will include:
*Experience of working in a large company operating in an international environment
*Strong financial aptitude with respect to employee benefit plans.
*Ability to produce timely results and prioritise multiple tasks in fast-paced environment.
*Technically proficient in domestic & international benefit plan design.
*Working knowledge of legislative environment including benefit laws and employment regulations.
In addition you must be willing to travel domestically and internationally as necessary to support department and benefit business objectives.
