Summary of Job:

Reporting to the Managing Director/Partner in the U.K. office, this role will be responsible for building business through strong relationships with new and existing senior level clients, managing and developing a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts, and will be accountable for the delivery and outcome of significant client projects. The Director will oversee the work of staff, and in together with the rest of the leadership team, will be responsible for seeing that client expectations are met with excellence in all we do.

 

Compensation Information:

·         Base Salary negotiable from: £100,000

·         Participation in the Courtyard Group Employee Profit Sharing Plan based on personal and corporate performance, paid semi-annually at the discretion of the company.

·         Voluntary participation in the Courtyard Employee Stock Option Plan. The Director will be able to spend a percentage of his/her Profit Sharing Plan allocation to purchase shares following one year of service.

·         Participation in an approved Pension Scheme with a company matching contribution to employee's contribution to a maximum of 5% of base salary.

·         Company benefits commencing immediately will include private healthcare, Death in Service benefit, short and long-term disability insurance.

·         Annual leave entitlement of 25 days per year, in addition to UK Statutory holidays

 

Major Activities/Accountabilities:

·         Build the UK and, where appropriate, the wider Courtyard Group business through building strong relationships with new and existing senior level clients, and by proactively recognising and acting on business development opportunities in the market

·         Responsible for the delivery of practical and achievable solutions that successfully achieve the clients' business and clinical objectives, enable the team to deliver quality results and create positive and sustainable outcomes for the health system

·         Oversee very large projects or several simultaneous smaller projects of significant complexity

·         Proactively identify and resolve project issues while meeting financial and timeline requirements

·         Build, motivate and lead productive, effective and successful project and line management teams, by providing clear direction, feedback and solid performance management coaching

·         Have insights and knowledge regarding healthcare, and combine with thought leadership to build innovative strategies and consulting service lines for Courtyard Group to support clients in tackling major healthcare issues

·         Apply business leadership skills as an active member of the Partners, Principals and Directors Committee, helping to influence the overarching direction and decisions of Courtyard Group

 

Critical Performance Criteria:

·         To introduce at least three new clients to Courtyard each year

·         To personally lead sales efforts realising at least £750,000 per annum through new and existing assignments

·         To be chargeable to clients at least 1,200 hours per annum (circa 150 days)

·         To be a part of and actively participate in the UK Region Management Team

·         To line manage all the Senior Analysts and Analysts in the UK office

·         To work effectively as a Mentor in the Courtyard Group Mentoring Programme

 

Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

·         Minimum of 7 years working with or in the healthcare industry, with responsibility for leading transformation change

·         Minimum of 7 years people management/leadership experience

·         University degree in business administration, health management or other relevant discipline

·         Business development track record of winning large scale business with Healthcare clients in areas relevant to Courtyard Group's service offerings

·         Must be able to be both a seller and deliverer of consulting work

·         Ability to interact with a wide-range of clinical, IT and management professionals

·         Strong analytical capability with excellent attention to detail

·         Demonstrated commitment to high quality work

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Advanced MS PowerPoint skills - ability to construct reports and presentations with well-structured thoughts and presentation style

·         Strong presentation skills

·         Excellent organizational and time management skills

·         Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills

·         Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment

·         Willingness to travel throughout the UK with regular overnights away and international travel for short periods of time

 

Contacts:

·         External contact with clients and potential clients is frequent and will most often include relationships with Associate Director and Board levels or equivalent

·         Internal contact with all of Courtyard Group employees, and senior management teams

 

Complexities/Challenges:

·         Determine focus and priorities including which clients to target and when to contact them

·         Effectively differentiate Courtyard Group through quality of value added service provided, ingenuity of proposals/solutions suggested and overall knowledge and professionalism

·         Analyse and understand a number of industry related issues

·         Leverage internal specialists to maximize solutions being offered, and internally manage work to ensure quality

·         Travel will be required
