Overall purpose:

*To provide leadership, support and development to the designated area of the business on all aspects of the People Agenda and take responsibility for HR activities.


Major responsibilities and accountabilities:

*To proactively identify opportunities to maximise individual performance.
*To challenge & make recommendations on current operating practises to facilitate performance improvement and to reflect the requirements of the area of business.
*To support the change agenda within designated business areas
*To support the successful delivery of the HR cycle and Business as Usual activity
*To contribute to the successful delivery of the HR strategy and promote a professional image of the HR function.
*Provide individual, developmental advice in a mentoring and coaching capacity, to encourage employees to maximise their performance.
*To actively review the status of under-performers to ensure personal development plans are rigorously implemented and appropriate action taken.
*To assist in the identification and development of talent within the Organisation ensuring processes are effectively completed & relevant support provided.
*To promote and support "Career Development" opportunities for employees to improve individual employability.
*To ensure succession plans are robust and regularly reviewed to retain high performers within the business.

Skills, knowledge and experience:

*Graduate calibre
*CIPD Qualified
*Significant HR generalist experience gained in a Financial environment
*Previous experience of Business Partnering or effective relationship management
*Influencing skills and delivery focus
*Ability to work autonomously demonstrating initiative and sound judgement
*Commercially focused and results oriented
*Effective interpersonal skills and strong teamwork focus.
