My client based in Leeds is looking to recruit an Equality & Diversity Manager to join their organisation to support and develop the policies and practices with regard to Customer Care, Diversity and Equality and their respective Action Plans.
The job will be specifically responsible for making sure the organisation meets its commitment to diversity and involvement and that its strategies, priorities and action plans are delivered within the identified timescales.
Primarily the role role will involve:
Promoting equality, inclusiveness and social justice for all customers and staff.
Ensure equality of opportunity as an employer, for the organisations services and contracts.
Contribute to operational service plans for the corporate, strategic and business planning processes of the Company.
Undertake specific project management initiatives as needed relating to diversity, customer involvement and community relations
Help managers understand involvement and diversity issues to develop a culture of community involvement
Proactively and positively represent the organisation and its values in the community.
You should have demonstratable skills as an Equality Diversity professional with a track record of success specifically in this area.
The role is for 12 months in the first instance although there is a strong opportunity for a permanent position longer term.
